Sunday marks the end of training for the JV group … and they celebrate with a picnic. Contrary to the schedule that has been posted all winter, there is NO RACE Sunday, March 22, for the JVs. The downhill results are posted here.

Year-End Banquet for JIV, JIII, JII, JI skiers and families

Come and celebrate another great ski racing season!!

Location: The Lodge on Echo Lake, Warrensburg, NY

Date: Saturday, March 21, 2009

Time: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. cash bar/social hour

6:30 p.m.dinner, followed by awards

Access the banquet reply form from the right side of this web page under “Forms and documents” or download the PDF here. RSVP as soon as possible.  Deadline is Sunday, March 15.  Please be considerate and adhere to this date.  We must give our final headcount to the banquet facility on this day. Any of the club officers would be happy to take your completed form and payment for this event. If you pay by mail, please send an email as well so we can be on the look out for your letter.

Also, unfortunately, due to our large numbers and the size of the facility, we must try to limit the number of non-racer siblings attending. Plus, it’s a rather long sit-down event that younger children probably wouldn’t enjoy anyhow.

Don’t forget to send your video clips & photos for the banquet DVD to Terry Spring @ FlatSpng@nycap.rr.com .

Hope to see you all there!

Sign up to volunteer and earn back your deposit

Hello everyone,

As you all know, in order to earn back your $250 deposit from NYSEF, we ask every one to volunteer two days for NYSEF.  There are NOT many races left for you to do so. Below are the dates and jobs left.  The only position that is full for EVERY race is registration, so please DO NOT ask for registration for any race all those positions are full.

March 7 – J4 States: Need four gatekeepers
March 7 – J4 States: Banquet assistance, 4-8pm set up, help out during and clean up.
March 8 – J4 States: Need 10 gatekeepers
March 21 – J1&2 SL: Need eight gatekeepers and one start hand timer
March 22 – J1&2 SL: Need 10 gatekeepers, two start timers and one finish timer
March 14-16 – J3 Olympics we need lots of help, BUT NO more registration positions are open.  Help needed for banquet as well.

Please do not call. Go to www.nysef.org, click on the “Gore” link in the menu and volunteer for a race.  We need you to register online to be a volunteer.  If you try to register and get bumped out, it means that day would be full.  If you have any questions or problems, please email me.
Thank you all for your continued support of NYSEF/Gore!
